Affordable and Healthy Places to Eat in Nashville

I travelled all around Nashville seeking out the healthiest and most affordable places to eat and this is what I found.


Sometimes you don't have time to cook at home and other times you just don't feel like it. In our fast paced society, it gets harder and harder to stay healthy on the move. That's why I'm compiling this list of high quality restaurants that you can get fed and not feel terrible afterwards in your body or your bank account.

On my journey to strive for efficiency, I wanted to find the healthiest places to eat for cheap. My goal is to eat well, save money, and save time. Hopefully my experience will help you as well. These will be some of the best places to eat in Nashville. Some of them I've known for a while and some are newly discovered. Here we're opting for high protein, plenty of fruits and veggies, and low sugar and processed fats. You won't find fried foods here, so if that's you're thing, I may have a guide to that later down the line as well. (I do have a weakness for fried chicken and french fries).


 

#1. Vui's

Vui's vegan phở and spring rolls in Nashville, Tennessee


First up, we have a simple accessible option. Its been my go-to and you can eat here for under $20. You can't beat a delicious chicken or beef phở. You get a nice collagen boost from the bone broth, and healthy dose of protein. Its made with bean sprouts, onions, and basil. If you want to get a little greens in, you could opt for a salad with your choice of protein and great dressing options. Try the spring rolls or an avocado shake to round it out. I know, the avocado shake has a lot of sugar, but it has avocado too! :)


#2. Sunflower Cafe

This place is quickly becoming one of my favorites! They give you a lot of food that is sure to fill you up! And you won't break the bank either. The BBQ Sandwich is a must try! Everything here is vegan. So if you're a vegan or vegetarian, this is perfect for you! If you just want to get more vegetables in, this is perfect as well!


#3. Subculture Urban Cuisine and Cafe

You can easily eat for under $20 here and everything is healthy. The buns are made from five ingredients and all meats are natural and locally raised. They also have coffees, espressos, and teas. They have everything from incredible sandwiches with grass fed steak to a quinoa salad that you can add egg, beef, pork, chicken, or smoked salmon to. Everything here is unique, so you won't get bored eating healthy.
